A simple moment in time has forever altered my existence. The is the day that SPC Christopher Ryan Barton, 22 years old was killed in the line of duty while serving his country in the Khwost Province of Afghanistan.
He is not just survived by this parents, brothers and wife, but also by much extended family and friends. While his life may have only directly affected a relatively small number of people, his death has affected many.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm so thankful to all of our troops for putting themselves in harms way for our freedom.

You are so correct that his death has affected many.I barely know you and never knew Chris but his death has greatly affected me. I think of him and you often. I remember your posts at DD's around Feb & March and you and Jarhead would talk about Afghanistan. He was a very handsome man. He died so near to the time that he was due to be home. That makes me feel angry.
